I am Misty and I own this little place. I am the counselor who was on the hit tv series, Black Gold. I have also recently written a foreword to a book that one of my clients published, who talks in length about our therapy sessions together. The book is entitled, From Hell To Happiness by Christopher Cooper.
I believe in a well-rounded approach to therapy including emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. Together, we can take the steps towards those goals that seem so risky. It has always been my passion to help others and I believe that my purpose in life is to help you find yours. I intend to do this through helping you to change your present beliefs and problem-solving skills that aren't working for you anymore. I will also get a history of your physical health and begin to help you address any issues that may be creating emotional or mental issues such as neurotransmitter imbalances that may be creating anxiety or depression.
I also believe that it is very important for each of us to have a sense of purpose in life and if you haven't found yours, we will work toward that as well. At the present time, I am credentialed for substance abuse/addiction counseling and all of the issues that come with it. I am a certified clinical supervisor through TCBAP and the state of Texas. I am certified as a practitioner in neuro-endocrine rebalancing and I am also a certified anger resolution therapist. I have ten years experience in the field as well as a lifetime of experience in the "real world."
