Brinn Clayton

imgBrinn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. He spent 30 years in the community newspaper industry, working and managing the family-owned community newspaper in Roxboro, North Carolina. May of 2020, Brinn graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with an MA in Christian Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling. Having benefited from mental health and relationship counseling, Brinn desires to assist clients of all ages and backgrounds in improving their mental and relational health. Brinn works with teens, individuals, couples, and parents and uses evidence-based, relational, and individually appropriate methods. His counseling interests include treating depression and anxiety, stress management, adoption, special needs parenting, life transitions, and couples counseling.

Brinn is a committed Christian professional with specialized training in marriage, family, and individual counseling, integrating personal faith into his professional practice. His Master of Arts degree includes evidence-based clinical modalities and skills, Christian faith integration, and basic theological training. Therefore, the treatment he provides is designed to care for the whole person: body, mind, and soul. While understanding that, for some, the path of personal growth will include the integration of their personal faith, while for others, it may not. Brinn will always respect the client's choice concerning the inclusion of faith issues in their treatment.

Brinn spent 30 years working in the community newspaper industry managing a company of 25 employees. He has struggled through anxiety and depression, and with the help of counseling and his faith learned to manage his emotional health.

Brinn lives in Roxboro with his lovely wife, Linda, their adopted son, and their three, dogs, two cats, horse, and donkey.
