Maryann Garcia is a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who graduated with honors with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from North Greenville University and a Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Maryann believes that presence has a healing power of its own which can be seen when people feel truly heard, respected, and valued. Her belief is backed by research that demonstrates that the client-therapist relationship is key to establish a space where positive treatment outcomes can be achieved through evidence-based treatments that fit each person’s specific needs. She is committed to working with clients to engage them in planning the path forward to ensure they are on the same page and are working towards the same goals. In her work and educational training, she has come to adopt a counseling approach that is eclectic, but derived mainly from cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and solutions-focused theoretical approaches. Her hope is that clients will gain knowledge and tools throughout their journey that will facilitate continued growth and development even after therapy has ended.
