Alliance ABA Therapy hosting job fair for Child Development Therapists

Our friends at Alliance ABA are seeking to expand its team of therapists to meet the area’s growing need for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services for children with Autism in Northern Virginia by hosting two hiring events in October.

The mission-based organization, which is committed to supporting those with developmental disabilities and autism, is looking to hire a number of therapists who are “flexible in spirit, have a positive attitude, and are capable of supporting children with autism,” explains CEO Paula Welsh. The Alliance ABA network of professionals is devoted to reducing barriers for the area’s autism community, including decreasing wait time for services, guiding guardians and parents through insurance coverage, and providing therapy that decreases need for special support in later life.

Successful candidates will be expected to provide 1:1 home-based ABA services for youth under the age of 21 with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities, provide parent training and support children’s caregivers through a variety of methods. They’ll also collaborate with other professionals from various agencies, including educators, physicians and social services providers. They’ll participate in clinical training under the supervision of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCAB), and assist in implementing children’s treatment programs. Preferred candidates will have a BA/BS degree or a high school diploma with 1-2 years of experiences with children or other human services.

Alliance ABA’s plans to add a number therapists to its team is an effort to expand its innovative, interdisciplinary program which is designed to equip children with successful communication tools, improve social behaviors and teach adaptive living skills. Its personalized services include a host of supportive programs developed to help families navigate each step of the autism journey.
