Junae is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington who began her education at the University of Washington receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Seattle, Washington.
After spending 8 years in the United States Army, Junae felt that she could continue to serve her community and country by more intimately assisting those in need. Junae has worked in the mental health and social services field since 2008 with experiences that range from being a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children, a Behavioral Support Specialist for youth with disabilities and at-risk youth, a Child and Family Therapist, and an Adult Therapist for adults with serious (chronic) mental illness and substance use.
Junae uses a holistic integrated approach, taking techniques from a variety of therapies to include: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Junae believes in the importance of tailoring therapy to the individual to help that individual achieve self-love and inner peace.
