Ever Feel Like You Ve Eaten So Much That Your Stomach Will Explode

Stomachs don't often explode in humans, but in lab experiments, it's a different story. Scientists working with blowflies found that if they severed the connection between the blowfly's stomach and their brain the blowflies ate till their stomachs exploded.

When we eat our brain and stomach continuously communicate. Our stomach sends signals to the brain that it is full and it is time to stop eating. If something interferes with the connection between our brain and stomach we will overeat to the point of extreme discomfort and ultimately injure our bodies.

Meals that contain a variety of foods help because different types of food are digested at different rates. Some foods stay in your stomach longer than others and that helps us to maintain a feeling of fullness.

Sugary foods and foods made with refined flours provide quick energy but also leave your stomach quickly. That leaves you hungry again within two to three hours.

Foods that are high in protein and fat help us feel full longer because they stay in the stomach for up to six hours. High fiber foods also help us feel full longer because the body takes longer to process the fiber.

If you eat too fast you will still feel hungry and you'll be tempted to eat more than you need. That's because your brain doesn't yet know that you've filled your stomach. So slow down the act of eating. Chew your food thoroughly and put your utensils down between bites. And do what the people from Okinawa do. They always leave the table a bit hungry.

Hypnosis can begin a powerful and positive transformation in the way you eat. It can help you break through your subconscious barriers. Use hypnotherapy to help yourself become happier and healthier.
