About Susie Barrus

Susie Barrus

It's said, "The toughest climbs lead to the best views." We don’t always get to choose the paths we walk in life, but it's true that some of the most challenging can lead to profound growth. You don’t have to do it alone, I am deeply honored to walk with you through part of your healing journey. I’ve experienced many of life’s challenging climbs, gained some wisdom, empathy, and training in mental health care along the way. I welcome clients to my office at the base of beautiful Mount Timpanogos in Pleasant Grove, Utah and also offer virtual sessions.

If you are navigating the complex effects of trauma, betrayal, narcissistic abuse, divorce, family-building and postpartum challenges, faith transitions, or women’s issues, I am here to help. I use EMDR, mindfulness, somatic work and more to help you process difficult experiences and rediscover your glow!
I love hiking and spending time in the natural world, as it has helped me on my healing and growing journey. I am excited to bring nature-based healing and have a few spots for "Walk and Talk" outdoor sessions, which can help deepen healing and growth. Adding movement to sessions also has been shown to benefit and enhance cognition and overall health. For more information on Walk and Talk sessions, see the above link.
