Jillian Cea is a Mental Health Counselor specializing in individual therapy and couples counseling. Jillian utilizes a person- centered approach while incorporating techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. In addition, Jillian has six years of experience working with grief and loss including volunteering at The Bereavement Center of Westchester, and starting her own community based support group in 2019 called Compassionate Journey.

Jillian graduated from Iona College with her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. During this time, Jillian completed her clinical hours at a Westchester Psychiatric Hospital, where she worked with an array of patients who presented with anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, trauma, and substance use.

Aside from her clinical work, Jillian has been featured speaking about her passion for her work on News 12, the Ionavation Podcast, and presented an E-Talk at Iona College's Hynes Institute. Currently, Jillian's focus is on treating children and adults ranging from anxiety, depression, bipolar, grief and loss, and relational issues. Jillian niche population is working with adolescents, teens, pre teens and college students. By utilizing eclectic therapeutic approaches, Jillian provides a supportive environment to identify the goals and challenges of each individual, while working one step at a time alongside the client. Jillian's goal is to help her clients on their journey to develop coping skills to handle life challenges, while achieving a meaningful life. Jillian is currently accepting new clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
I have completed my graduate education and a student fieldwork experience, which has satisfied the requirements of the New York State Education Department and Mental Health Counseling to be an associate-level counselor. I practice under supervision and am accruing clinical hours toward full, independent licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
SUPERVISION
I practice under the supervision of Colette Lopane-Capella LMHC (#006620-1). Supervision is utilized to develop the counselor's range of clinical interventions in the counseling profession through case review, discussion, and sometimes audio recordings or note review. Supervisors are bound to the same level of confidentiality as the treating clinician.
