Therapists Who Care
Many research studies indicate that most important factor in effective psychotherapy is a strong, positive relationship between the therapist and the client. Bearing this in mind, it is critical for you to find a good fit when selecting a therapist.
Each mental health professional chosen for the Transcendence team was selected due to not only excellent professional skills, but also their extraordinary level of empathy and compassion toward their clients. We truly care about are clients and are personally invested in the relationships we build with you.

I have a strong background in helping people recover from dysfunctional families and traumatic childhoods. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, including senior citizens, and I am experienced in working with first responders—such as police, fire, EMS, teachers, and military veterans.

KIRSTI REEVE, MA, LPC, NCC, CAADC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Everyone has overwhelming times in their lives, when ways that we use to cope aren't working anymore, or are even making the situation worse. You might be sad, anxious, hurting yourself, isolating, or overeating and want to change. Counseling can help you move forward at times when you feel stuck, can help you develop new coping skills and tools to manage life's challenges, and rediscover your inner strength. It provides an accepting, non-judgmental, confidential environment, and a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings with a caring, compassionate listener.
My specializations include anxiety, depression, trauma, self-injury ("cutting"), eating disorders, abuse survivors, and LGBT issues, including self-acceptance, coming out, spirituality and wellness. I can also provide substance use evaluations and addictions counseling.
I love working with children and youth, especially teens /young adults.
I focus on your strengths: the tools, support, and positive factors that have helped you get this far. No matter how overwhelming life seems, you are more than the sum of your problems. I take an integrative approach that considers you as a whole person: mind, emotions, body, and spirit.

I specialize in working through life changes and transitions, increasing self-worth and self-acceptance, identity development, communication skills building, and trauma informed care. I have experience working with the LGBTQ+ population, as well as a focus on individuals in non-traditional lifestyles. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, difficult transitions, stress management, or relationship challenges, I believe we can work together to discover your strengths and explore new tools to support you through challenges, and change.
I feel growth is a lifelong process, and my eclectic approach allows me to meet you where you are and walk beside you on your journey towards your personal goals.

A healthy and supportive therapeutic partnership is essential for fostering positive personal change. My goal is to create a safe, respectful space where you can explore important issues, gain insight into your feelings, understand current and past patterns, and identify the changes you wish to make for a fulfilling future. I deeply believe my role is to nurture your confidence in your inner wisdom while serving as a guide as you uncover your true needs, desires, and authentic self.
With over 30 years of experience in mental health, special needs, and traumatic brain injury, I am a board-certified music therapist and licensed professional counselor. Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in areas such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, traumatic brain injury, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth.
Although my primary focus is on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and DBT-informed care, I believe it’s important to take a holistic approach. This includes exploring emotional, spiritual, mental, and social aspects of your relationships with others and with yourself. I work primarily with adults aged 18 and older, supporting their journey toward healing and self-discovery.
