Maya is a Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker committed to assisting clients in navigating life's challenges and recognizing their diverse strengths. A Kutztown University alumni, Maya has earned her Bachelor's (BSW) and Master's (MSW) degrees in Social Work. Maya has experience working with elementary-aged children to develop skills in areas such as social, problem-solving, communication, and emotional regulation. Maya also has experience working with college-aged students on the Autism Spectrum to improve executive functioning skills -- She loves to engage these populations. Though Maya has a specific focus on the populations of children, teens, and young adults, she is ready to partner with clients of any age to pinpoint and help work toward achieving goals. Through using a Strengths-Based approach, Maya works to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to be themselves and work towards change. Maya works mainly with Mindfulness techniques as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist clients. In her free time, Maya loves to dance, read, cook, and spend time with her family and friends. Maya is a Licensed Social Worker completing her clinical licensing hours under the supervision of Dr. Chaundy.
