Tori Hunyara

Tori Hunyara, BS Psychology, is a graduate-level intern completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She expects to graduate from Lebanon Valley College in May of 2025 and work through the process of becoming a LPC. She is looking forward to expanding her clinical knowledge, gaining experience, and helping her local community members. Under the supervision of Dr. Witmer, Tori will be shadowing and then taking on her own clients as determined by her clinical supervisors. 

She has previous experience as a Sexual Assault Counselor with the community resource of the Sexual Assault Resource Center and Counseling, as well as a psychiatric technician at WellSpan PhilHaven. She also enjoys research surrounding Perseverance, Grit, and Grief. Tori hopes to specialize in DBT, ACT, and CBT. Her ideal population is adults and adolescents; however, her main goal is to create change in her clients' lives by utilizing a person-first approach and letting her clients be the experts of their own lives. 

She enjoys finding meaning in the little things in life and looking at life through other’s people’s perspective. She enjoys practicing mindfulness and grounding exercises that helped her in her time as a collegiate athlete. Outside of work, Tori enjoys exercising, writing and reading poetry, and advocating for mental health.
