Canine Support Therapy

Healing with the Comfort of Therapy Dogs

At Théla Clinic, we know that sometimes words are hard to find — and healing can feel overwhelming. That’s why we offer Canine Support Therapy with our friendly therapy dogs, Emma and Evee. Their calm and gentle presence helps people feel more relaxed, grounded, and supported during therapy.

What Is Canine Support Therapy?

Canine Support Therapy — also called animal-assisted counselling — is a way to include trained dogs in therapy sessions to help people feel safe and calm.
Studies show that spending time with dogs can:

  • Lower stress and anxiety

  • Increase emotional openness

  • Help people feel more comfortable talking about difficult topics

At Théla, we use this gentle approach to make therapy feel more natural, warm, and supportive.
